EVERY NEW PATEK PHILIPPE FROM WATCHES & WONDERS 2024
Despite being one of the world’s best known and most influential watch brands, it can be hard to look past Patek Philippe’s luxury sports watches to its high horology. After 185 years, the brand is still innovating and driving the watch world forward. Its Watches & Wonders 2024 haul includes a complication world-first, beautiful new Grand Complications references, and several more high-end surprises.
Patek Philippe Complications World Time Date 5330G
- For the first time ever, the Patek Philippe World Time Date 5330G-001 synchronises the date display with local time.
- All other world time watches with a date display have needed individual adjustment to the date when crossing a date line.
- The blue opaline dial has been given a carbon motif in the centre sector, and the watch is paired with a blue denim strap.
Patek Philippe Grand Complications Alarm Travel Time 5520RG
- The new Alarm Travel Time has been given a new colour scheme in a sepia dream, with a rose gold case, sunburst grey dial and off-white hour markers.
- The calibre AL 30-660 S C FUS has four separate patents, offering a dual-time display and a mechanical 24-hour alarm.
- It’s a much more practical form of audible complication than a minute repeater, in vitnage-inspired package.
Patek Philippe Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar Rare Handcrafts 5160/500R
- The Patek Philippe Retrograde Perpetual Calendar Rare Handcrafts is engraved on nearly every millimetre of its 18k rose gold case, entirely by hand.
- Inspired by an antique Patek Philippe pocket watch, its floral motifs are echoed on the silver opaline dial.
- This is the kind of Patek Philippe which feels as though it belongs to 18th century royalty, complete with lavish decoration and highly-technical complications.
Patek Philippe Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar 5236P
- The 5236P is one of the cleanest-looking perpetual calendars in existence, and it’s now been heightened with a salmon dial and platinum case.
- The restrained apertures for the day, date, month, day/night indication, leap year status, and moonphase shows all of the relevant information without cluttering the dial needlessly.
- The calibre 31-260 PS QL is a mesmerising sight from the sapphire display caseback, with beautifully arranged bridges and a platinum micro-rotor.
Patek Philippe Complications Annual Calendar 5396G
- Patek Philippe’s classic annual calendar is glamorously updated with a blue sunburst fumé dial.
- Baguette-cut diamonds replace the hour markers for some not-so-subtle sparkle, without ever feeling overly feminine.
- The calibre 26-330 S QA LU 24H only requires adjustment once per year at the end of February.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/60G
- Although it was only discontinued for a few months, the return of a Nautilus 5980 chronograph to Patek Philippe’s catalogue will be celebrated.
- This new reference in 18k white gold boasts a blue opaline dial, paired with a denim-style strap in a similar manner to the new World Time Date.
- The calibre CH 28-520 C/522 is a flyback chronograph with a single 60-minute and 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock.
Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time 5164G
- While the stainless steel version of the fan-favourite Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time 5163A remains discontinued, a new reference in white gold is available.
- The dial is also in the blue-grey opaline colour, which seems to be Patek Philippe’s calling card for 2024.
- Regardless of its case material, this design with a blue dial remains one of the most iconic luxury travel watches.
Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce 5269R
- The previous version of the quartz-powered 5269 was gem-set and quite obviously feminine, but now comes in a solid rose gold case and deep, desaturated blue dial.
- It’s a much more gender-neutral take on an Aquanaut Travel Time with a reduced 38.8mm case diameter.
- The E 23-250 S FUS 24H calibre may be quartz, but it’s still packed with two time zones and day/night indication for the home time.
Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce 5268/461G
- The final Aquanaut of Watches & Wonders 2024 is a decadent display of haute joaillerie, with a dial paved in baguette-cut diamonds and sapphires.
- The arrangement of the precious stones perfectly echoes the iconic Aquanaut dial layout.
- It’s powered by the mechanical 26-330 S calibre, with automatic winding and a 45-hour power reserve.
Patek Philippe Twenty-4 2910/1201R
- The Patek Philippe Twenty-4 range has just turned 25, so it’s being celebrated with an incredibly loud reference.
- The solid gold case and bracelet hosts a vibrant purple dial, decorated with hypnotic guilloché.
- It’s powered by the E 15 quartz movement.
